Marisa | Mexican bakery
Pastelerías Marisa is a beloved Mexican chain bakery that traces its roots back to its founder, Marisa Lazo, who initially sold homemade cakes from her garage. However, despite its enduring success, I felt compelled to redesign this cherished bakery chain due to its slightly outdated logo, which has remained largely unchanged for over three decades.

Marisa's target demographic comprises adult women within families who cherish spending special moments together. However, as the generation previously targeted by the old logo ages, there's a need to appeal to a younger demographic of family-oriented women. Thus, I undertook the task of redesigning the logo to resonate with this new generation of customers.
I opted to enhance the visual appeal of the brand by replacing the previous blue hue with a more striking and captivating shade of blue, complemented by a soft cream color to evoke a sense of warmth and comfort.
Additionally, I revamped the typography, opting for a bolder font while retaining its calligraphic quality to maintain its feminine charm.
